HUNTINGTON – The Concordia boys basketball team is headed to their first state finals after a 68-63 overtime win over Andrean in a Class 3A semistate Saturday at Huntington North.
The No. 7 Cadets (23-4) will face No. 2 Greensburg (25-1) at 6 p.m. next Saturday at Indianapolis' Bankers Life Fieldhouse.
Concordia outscored No. 3 Andrean (22-4) 33-21 in the fourth quarter and overtime combined.
D.J. McCall led the Cadets with 20 points, while Marq Rogers had 15, Brian Gremaux 13 and Thomas Starks 10.
The Cadets avenged a 77-57 loss to the 59ers in the 2000 semistate.
Concordia has been to three semistate games, 1989, 2000 and 2013.
