Handbell festival offers free concerts

The Handbell Musicians of America spring festival and conference is happening this weekend at the Grand Wayne Center, and the group is offering free concerts.

More than 350 handbell musicians from Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Kentucky and West Virginia have come together for training, rehearsal and performances, according to a written statement from the organization.

The opening concert is 7 p.m. Friday and the final concert is 5:30 p.m. Saturday, the statement said. Both are at the Grand Wayne Center, 120 W. Jefferson Blvd.
