    The D-League will hold its annual national tryouts June 15 in New York. The one-day event will see 200 hopefuls in full-court games in front of team executives, coaches and scouts.
  • Howard, Smith work at Development League camp
    Mad Ants guard Ron Howard and center Tommy Smith accepted invitations to the NBA Development League Elite Mini Camp, which started Monday and runs through Tuesday in Chicago.
  • Record year for D-League
    It wasn't only the Mad Ants that made 2012-13 their best season; the rest of the NBA Development League had a record-setting year, as well.

Mad Ants beat Springfield

The Fort Wayne Mad Ants continue to chase the first playoff berth in their history.

The Ants (21-20) moved above .500 and stayed hot on Erie’s heels for the last playoff spot with a 121-106 victory Friday night over the Armor at Springfield, Mass.

A 47-point third quarter blew up what had been a 53-53 tie at halftime, as the Ants rode the trio of Anthony Richardson, Brandon Wallace and Tony Mitchell, who combined for 74 points.

Wallace finished with 26.points and six rebounds,Richardsonhad 25 and six and Mitchell scored 23. Ron Howard had nine points and 10 assists for the Ants.
