Women's tennis wins twice

One day, two wins.

That was the result of the opening day of the Summit League cluster in Kansas City for the IPFW women's tennis team.

The Mastodons beat Western Illinois, 7-0 Thursday, then returned for a 6-1 victory over South Dakota State.

The day consisted of a rout over Western Illinois. IPFW's Anita Henestrosa, Theresa Neumeyr and Sonya Sorokina all won singles matches by 6-0, 6-0 scores. The Leathernecks didn't fare much better in the other matches, as Caterina Kiefer and Marcy Huck won 6-1, 6-0, and Miloslava Shustova won 6-1, 6-1.
