Landes to Manchester

Garrett senior receiver Drake Landes has committed to play football at Manchester University.

Landes was recently named to the IFCA's North All-Star team.

Whitley County strength meet Saturday

The second annual Tyler Andreas Memorial Strength meet will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Little Turtle Elementary School in Columbia City.

The meet allows members of the three Whitley County high school football programs to compete on the bench press, squat and NFL Combine-style agility drills.

The event also celebrates the life of the late Tyler Andreas, with money raised through team entrance fees and free-will donations going to the Tyler Andreas Scholarship Fund.
