Partin waived

Darryl Partin, the 6-foot-5 guard who started in 16 of the 33 games played, has been waived by the Mad Ants.

Terrance Thomas, a 6-6 veteran forward from Baylor, will join the team and should be available to play when the Ants play at Maine on Thursday.

Partin, from Boston University, was brought in as an outside shooting threat, but has suffered through a recent slump. Averaging 6.5 points per game, Partin hit 2 of his last 19 three-point shots and had connected on 29 percent for the season. His high game was 20 points against Maine, when he made 6 of 14 three-pointers.

Thomas played 17 games with Canton last year and averaged 4.4 points and 4.1 rebounds. A year earlier, he played 30 games with Reno and averaged 12.4 points and 7.7 rebounds.
