    The IPFW women’s volleyball was picked to finish second in the Summit League preseason poll of the league’s head coaches. The Mastodons received 53 points. Coaches were not allowed to vote for their own teams.

    IPFW men's soccer players Oscar Uyamadu and Corey Tom being were recently named to the Summit League All-Conference Second Team by College Sports Madness.

IPFW women fall in Summit semfinals

IPFW fell to South Dakota State 86-59 in the semifinals of the Summit League women’s basketball tournament Monday in Sioux Falls, S.D.

The Mastodons (13-16) gave up 46 points in the first half and 40 in the second half against the Jackrabbits (23-7).

Erin Murphy led IPFW with 18 points, while Amanda Hyde had 15.

South Dakota State had five players in double figures, including three off the bench. Ashley Eide led the way with 16 points.
