Rapheal Davis named Big Ten freshman of the week

Purdue guard Rapheal Davis, a Fort Wayne native, was named the Big Ten freshman of the week, the conference announced Monday.

Davis averaged 16.5 points, 5.5 rebounds and 2 assists against Michigan and Minnesota last week.

Davis had 15 points and a career-high nine rebounds in an 80-75 loss to Michigan on Wednesday.

He had 18 points and a career-high four assists in an 89-73 win over Minnesota on Saturday.

This was Davis' first freshman of the week honor.
