It seems as though the Mad Ants have gotten their fill of Luke Harangody and the knee injury that never seemed to heal.
With the former Notre Dame standout out of the lineup again Sunday in the Mad Ants' 109-102 overtime loss to Bakersfield -- and out of the building, since he wasn't seen -- team president Jeff Potter said the Ants have all but washed their hands of Harangody, who led the team with nearly 20 points and 12 rebounds per game.
But because of a knee injury, that according to him doesn't knee surgery or even a brace, Harangody has missed seven of the Ants' last eight games.
According to Potter, Harangody called him late Friday -- 30 or 40 minutes before the trade deadline passed, which prevented Potter from finding a player to take his place.
While Harangody's talents were obvious, his departure was a poor way to leave the team and his teammates who played exceedingly hard in their loss to Bakersfield.
