Plymouth Congregational Church, 501 W. Berry St., is hosting Journey of Hope, with speakers sharing stories about the process of healing through reconciliation, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Sunday.

Auburn First United Methodist Church, 1203 E. Seventh St., is hosting pastor Joe Heins of Auburn Church of Christ as part of the church’s Men’s Lenten Breakfast Series. The breakfast is at 6:30 a.m. Friday.

Trinity English Lutheran Church is having a Handbell Musicians of America concert at 5:30 p.m. March 16 at Grand Wayne Center, 120 W. Jefferson Blvd.

Crescent Avenue United Methodist Church, 1232 Crescent Ave., is having a Taize service at 5 p.m. Sunday.

Wesleyan Redeemer Church, 2127 Nelson St., is hosting Deron Fourman, an Ohio pastor, along with special music, at 7 p.m. Wednesday to March 16 and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. March 17.

Special news

Victory Noll Center, 1900 W. Park Drive, is participating in a nationwide program, Bread for the World, to address the issue of hunger worldwide. The center will be open from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday with information, writing information and addresses of legislators to help prepare letters to send.

The Associated Churches of Fort Wayne and Allen County’s Rising Stars program raised $174,466 in volunteer hours and in-kind donations last year to distribute to area schools.
