This red-crowned crane chick is on a mission, living as an ambassador for cranes facing habitat loss and life-threatening, human-wildlife conflicts in their native lands.Ruthy is a 2-year-old spayed gray and white domestic shorthair cat.
“Hi, my name is Ruthy! I was brought to the Allen County SPCA due to my previous family having too many cats.
“I am a very sweet cat who loves attention. I am very affectionate.
“The staff feels I would do well with children of all ages as long as they treat me nicely. I also get along well other cats and probably wouldn’t mind cat-friendly dogs.

She is available for adoption at the Allen County SPCA, 4914 Hanna St.
The shelter is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
