Truck-bus collision hurts 4 students

SEELYVILLE, Ind. – A western Indiana school superintendent says four students went to a hospital to be treated for injuries after a dump truck struck the rear of a school bus.

Vigo County School Corp. Superintendent Dan Tanoos confirmed the injuries Thursday afternoon.

The Terre Haute Tribune-Star reported (http://bit.ly/XVGlAO ) all of the injuries appeared to be minor, but one student was lowered off the bus on a backboard.

The truck struck the rear of the bus while the two vehicles traveled on U.S. 40 east of Seelyville. That’s about 60 miles southwest of Indianapolis.

A message seeking comment was left with an Indiana State Police spokesman.
