Receiver joins IU

Taj Williams is officially a Hoosier.

Indiana football coach Kevin Wilson announced that the 6-foot-4, 175-pound receiver from Lincoln High School in Tallahassee, Fla., signed his letter of intent to play for IU.

Williams in the 23rd member of the Hoosiers' 2013 recruiting class, and he is the fifth four-star prospect to join Indiana. Williams announced his intentions to sign with IU on his Twitter account Monday.

Williams had 56 receptions for 786 yards and 11 touchdowns as a senior. He also recorded four interceptions as a defensive back, including one to seal Lincoln's regional championship victory. ranks Indiana's signing class fourth in the Big Ten and 38th nationally.
