Key matchup: Rebounding could be the key for Purdue, which defeated No. 22 Wisconsin 69-56 Sunday, to pull off another upset tonight. The Boilermakers are the Big Ten’s top offensive rebounding team, averaging 39.6, but the Wolverines are fourth in defensive rebounding, averaging 31. Hammons, Purdue’s 7-foot freshman, is 11th in the Big Ten in rebounds, and the Boilermakers had a 39-27 rebounding edge in the win over the Badgers. McGary, Michigan’s 6-10 freshman, is 16th in the conference in rebounding.

The skinny: Purdue is 2-4 in its last six games while Michigan is 3-3 after defeating No. 12 Michigan State 58-57 Sunday. … The Boilermakers fell 68-53 to the Wolverines on Jan. 24. … Purdue is second in the Big Ten in blocked shots with 4.7 per game.
