I have nothing against cheerleaders. Nothing. Against. Cheerleaders.
They're athletic, they're physically skilled, they do a lot of the same things gymnasts do.
But I agree with the judge here. Cheerleading isn't a sport.
It's a competition, sure, and it involves a certain level of physical dexterity. But so do dance competitions. And dance is not a sport, either.
So no way should Quinnipiac University get to replace women's volleyball -- an actual, bonafide sport -- with cheerleading and say it's square with Title IX. No way, no how.
