The Indiana Department of Transportation reports that U.S. 6 is closed in both directions about seven miles west of Ligonier.

The crash at County Road 35 involved a semi tractor-trailer rig, according to the announcement.

The section of road could be closed until after 7 p.m. Tuesday, the announcement said.
