Collin Jeffrey Parker of Warsaw has been accepted into the United States Military Academy at West Point.

Sen. Dan Coats, R-Ind., nominated Parker, a senior at Culver Military Academy, for the appointment.

Parker serves as president of the student council and captain of the wresting team. He also is a recipient of the Duchossois Scholarship, which covers full tuition at Culver and is based on superior academic, citizenship and character achievement.

Parker is the son of Jeffrey Parker and Melissa Long, Coats’ announcement said.
