Wayne, Carroll win indoor track meet
The Wayne boys team and the Carroll girls team won at the Fort Wayne Invitational, an indoor track meet at IPFW, on Saturday.
The Generals’ Devon Stone won the 55-meter hurdles in 7.71 seconds. Teammate Carrington Robinson won the long jump with a 21-foot-09.5 leap.
The Generals had 64 points, 20 more than second-place Northrop.
For the Carroll girls, who had 97 points, five more than Northrop, Melanie Ruich led the way with a win in the 3,200 run in 11:27.51.
Carroll’s Sara McKeeman won the pole vault with an 11-06 effort.
