FORT WAYNE – Warsaw outlasted Concord to come away with a 41-39 triple-overtime victory and earn a spot opposite Northridge in today’s finals of the Class 4A Elkhart Central Sectional.
The Tigers (12-10) fell behind 14-9 after the first quarter but kept chipping away in a game that had nine lead changes and seven ties.
Jared Bloom scored 14 for Warsaw, and Jordan Stookey added 13. Franko House scored 16 for the Minutemen (19-2).
HOMESTEAD 48, JAY COUNTY 45: Nick Gamble scored 16 points and hit a late three-pointer to seal the sectional semifinal victory as the Spartans (18-6) advanced to play New Haven (16-5) in today’s finals at Huntington North.
DEKALB 46, COLUMBIA CITY 45: Cole Hartman scored 19 points to lead the Barons (17-7) to the Carroll Sectional finals where they will face Northrop, a 90-70 over North Side. Derek Hinen scored 18 for the Eagles (20-4).
CONCORDIA 73, LEO 59: Marq Rogers scored 17 and Desmond McCall and Thomas Starks each added 16 as the No. 7 Cadets (19-4) advanced to play Woodlan (11-12) in today’s finals of the Garrett Sectional. David Hardin led the Lions (10-11) with 14 points.
WOODLAN 54, ANGOLA 37: Kadin Gerig scored 18 points to lead the Warriors (11-12). Justin Davis scored 13 for the Hornets (9-12).
NORWELL 69, MISSISSINEWA 51: David Vogel scored 19 to lead the Knights (16-6) to today’s Norwell Sectional finals where they will face Heritage (9-13).
HERITAGE 62, WHITKO 40: Connor Sheehan scored 16 points and Wil Knakpe added 14 for the Patriots.
BISHOP LUERS 68, ADAMS CENTRAL 47: James Blackmon Jr. scored 23 points and Randon Jackson had 13 points as the No. 9 Knights (14-6) advanced to play Bluffton in today’s South Adams sectional finals. Dalton Combs scored 14 for the Flying Jets (13-8).
WESTVIEW 55, CENTRAL NOBLE 35: Kyle Miller scored 14 as the Warriors (20-3) advanced to play LaVille, a 56-35 winner over Prairie Heights, in the finals of the Westview Sectional. Connor McCoy scored nine for the Cougars (5-16).
CANTERBURY 66, BETHANY CHRISTIAN 45: Trent VanHorn scored 25 points as the Cavaliers (14-8) advanced to play Lakewood Park (17-5), a 71-60 winner over Elkhart Christian, in the finals of the Hamilton Sectional. The title game will be played Monday because the Canterbury girls team is in the state finals today.
