Tony Mitchell's 27 points paced the Mad Ants in their 109-98 victory Saturday over the Idaho Stampede at Memorial Coliseum, in front of 4,253 fans.

Mitchell made 11 of 24 shots, including 3 of 9 from beyond the three-point line, and he had nine rebounds for the Mad Ants in a commanding performance inside the paint.

Fort Wayne out-rebounded Idaho59-43.

Leading the way for Fort Wayne (18-19) was Brandon Wallace with 11 rebounds and 16 points. He was one of three players for Fort Wayne with double-doubles, joining Ron Howard, who had 23 points and 10 rebounds, and Anthony Richardson, who had 22 points and 10 rebounds.

Nine players scored for the Mad Ants, who shot 46.8 percent from the field.

Idaho (10-24) shot 41.3 percent and was led by Durrell Summers, who had 25 points on 10-of-18 shooting.

Teammate Justin Holiday had 18 points on 8-of-18 shooting.

If there was a downside for the Mad Ants, it was the ball-handling; they turned the ball over 22 times, 12 more than the Stampede. Thirteen of those Fort Wayne turnovers were via steals.
