Are your indoor plants beginning to show a little extra green?
Our test pots at the office are starting to put out new growth, and one of the peace lilies is sending up a bloom stalk.
When you see that kind of growth in March, it is a good time to start adding a little diluted fertilizer. What I do is water them one day and then give the pots half- or quarter-strength fertilizer the next.
Instead of messing with fertilizer, you can also add a thin, thin layer of fresh potting soil. Don't cover the "crowns" of the plants, just put it on the bare dirt. I've found this gives your plants a little boost in the spring greening-up department.
Good luck and happy gardening!
