Mad Antics

  • Several Mad Ants stars to Europe
Everyone knew the Mad Ants roster would look different, even in the wake of the team's first D-League championship.
  • Tryout information
The Mad Ants will hold an open tryout from 2 to 6 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Quest Multisport Complex in Chicago.
  • Howard not sure on return to Mad Ants this season
Howard has had some interest from NBA teams – that's nothing new, though Howard has never made a regular-season roster – and is again fielding offers from teams in Europe.

Howard leads Ants in first half

Ron Howard scored 18 points in the first quarter and has 22 at the half to lead the Mad Ants to a 53-47 lead over Springfield on Friday at Memorial Coliseum.

Howard is 6 of 10 from the floor and 10 of 10 from the free throw line.

The Ants have played much of the first half without all-star forward Tony Mitchell, who picked up three fouls in 48 seconds, the third coming with 9 minutes still left in the first period, with the Ants leading 8-4.
