2 charged with murder in shooting death

FORT WAYNE – Two Fort Wayne men face murder charges in connection with Saturday’s shooting of 28-year-old Antonio Galvan.

On Thursday, Allen County prosecutors charged 23-year-old Jose J. Lopez, of the 1400 block of Fletcher Avenue, and Augustus S. Marshall, 27, of the 6300 block of Southcrest Road.

According to court documents, they shot Galvan in the neck with a shotgun in the doorway of his home at 3017 McDonald St. Both men were identified by Galvan’s twin brother, who told police Galvan told him to let the pair into the house.

Galvan’s death was the sixth homicide in Allen County this year.
