Veteran Allen court magistrate Linsky steps aside

– Longtime Allen Superior Court Magistrate Marcia L. Linsky resigned Tuesday.

Linsky, a former Allen County deputy prosecutor, handled misdemeanor cases and ordinance violations in the court’s misdemeanor and traffic division alongside Magistrate Robert E. Ross.

According to Superior Court Judge Fran Gull, head of the court’s criminal division, Linsky began her work as a magistrate in 1999.

She was hired at the Allen County Prosecutor’s Office in October 1988.

Gull declined to discuss Linsky’s abrupt resignation or why she may have left, describing it as a private personnel matter.

Linsky’s busy courtroom is being staffed by other Allen Superior Court magistrates and judges until a replacement is found.
