FW indoor track meet Saturday at IPFW

The Fort Wayne Sports Corp.'s inaugural Fort Wayne Indoor Relays will take place at 10 a.m. Saturday at the new IPFW Athletics Center.

Thirty-two boys and girls track teams will be competing from 19 high schools.

"We are excited about presenting this inaugural indoor track and field event to our community," Sports Corp. president Tiffany Gooden said in a news release. "New Haven High School and IPFW have been wonderful partners in terms of helping to transform the initial concept to a reality. This competition will feature some of the best athletes in the area, and we encourage the community to come out and support these exceptional student-athletes at a top notch venue."

The cost is $5 per person and free for children younger than 5.

High schools competing will be Bellmont, Bishop Dwenger, Bishop Luers, Carroll, Central Noble, Churubusco, Elkhart Central, Gary Wallace, Huntington North, Jay County, Leo, Manchester, New Haven, North Side, Northrop, Norwell, Snider, Wayne and Westview.
