Snow lingers over region

FORT WAYNE – A winter weather advisory is in effect for the following counties until 10 a.m. Wednesday:

  • Indiana – La Porte, St. Joseph, Elkhart, LaGrange, Steuben, Noble, DeKalb, Starke, Marshall and Kosciusko.
  • Ohio – Williams, Fulton Oh, Defiance and Henry.
The National Weather Service in northern Indiana said those areas might see an addition 1 to 3 inches by the end of the day, but that most of it will melt.

The rest of northeast Indiana and northwest Ohio, including Fort Wayne, is expected to see a mix of snow and rain starting between noon and 3 p.m., with snow after 3 p.m. Some areas might see 1 to 3 inches of snow, but it is expected to stick only on grassy and elevated areas, the weather service said.
