    The D-League will hold its annual national tryouts June 15 in New York. The one-day event will see 200 hopefuls in full-court games in front of team executives, coaches and scouts.

    Mad Ants guard Ron Howard and center Tommy Smith accepted invitations to the NBA Development League Elite Mini Camp, which started Monday and runs through Tuesday in Chicago.

    It wasn't only the Mad Ants that made 2012-13 their best season; the rest of the NBA Development League had a record-setting year, as well.

Ants waaaaaay behind at half

Playing their first game at Memorial Coliseum since Feb. 8, the Mad Ants find themselves in a 61-39 hole against Erie on Tuesday.

The Ants (16-18) quickly fell behind 10-4, got within 15-12, but Erie took a 30-20 lead after the first quarter. It led by as many as 26 (61-35) before Fort Wayne scored the last four points by Ron Howard.

Howard leads the Ants with 19 points.
