Key matchup: The Boilermakers will need to find a way to contain Hearn. The 6-foot-4 Snider product had a career-high 26 points and five rebounds in Northwestern’s 75-60 win over Purdue on Feb. 2. The Wildcats will need to focus on shutting down Hammons. The 7-foot center, who didn’t start in the teams’ last game because of disciplinary reasons, had 19 points and 13 rebounds against Northwestern.

The skinny: Purdue is playing its first game in more than a week. The Boilermakers’ last game was an 83-55 loss to No. 1 Indiana on Feb. 16. … Purdue has lost five of its last six games. … Northwestern hasn’t won since defeating Purdue and comes into the game on a four-game losing streak. … The Wildcats are 1-6 in their last seven games.
