READING, Penn. -- Greetings from Reading. I just did some reading on the area (bad pun) and apparently, they can service all of my quilting and outlet-shopping needs here.

No real surprises on the Komets playoff roster. Click here to see who all the ECHL teams turned in. Of note for Fort Wayne:
  • K's need a power surge
The Komets power play has shown some signs of life lately, but it still must be better if they want to defeat Reading in the Eastern Conference quarterfinals, which begin Thursday.

Milam scores

The Komets got a goal from defenseman Jamie Milam -- on a power play, if you can believe it -- and they are tied at 1 with the Cincinnati Cyclones after two periods at Memorial Coliseum.

Fort Wayne is 1 for 4 on power plays tonight.

They have now missed the net on three breakaways and had one shot from point-blank range, by Jean-Michel Rizk, gloved by goalie Michael Houser.

Lots of booing tonight and I'm not surprised.
