Notre Dame men slip in polls; women stay No. 2 in AP poll

Notre Dame slipped four spots in The Associated Press men's Top 25 poll and the USA Today coaches poll, which were released Monday.

Notre Dame moved from No. 21 to No. 25 in both polls.

The Irish (20-6, 8-5 Big East) went 1-1 last week, defeating DePaul 82-78 in overtime Wednesday but falling 71-54 to Providence on Saturday.

Notre Dame plays at No. 20 Pittsburgh (20-6, 8-5) tonight.

The Notre Dame women's team held onto the No. 2 spot in the AP Top 25, but the Irish (24-1, 12-0 Big East) did not receive any first-place votes.

No. 1 Baylor received 38 first-place votes, while Connecticut – which lost to Notre Dame 73-72 on Jan. 5 – received the other two first-place votes.

The Irish have won 19 games in a row, and they play at DePaul (18-8, 7-5) on Sunday.
