More energy so far

Late in the first period, the Komets and Evansville IceMen are tied at 1.

The Komets have had more energy with captain Colin Chaulk in the lineup, and they took the early lead on a fortuitous goal.

Eric Giosa took a no-look shot from the right boards and it fooled goalie Paul Dainton.

But the IceMen answered during a power play, as Kevin Baker scored on a one-timer from the left circle.
