I havent been this disgusted and bored watching komet hockey in years. I have said it for years and will stand by it sims systems are outdated. U will never see me now or in the past say he is a great coach. I think the players have tuned him out. I really dont even know what to say about this team anymore.

It's official.....this team is a JOKE! Zero passion. How can they not come out hitting everything that moved. Playoffs......you wonder how they win another game, let alone worry about playoffs. A major change needs to happen this week or they are done. It's hard to believe that this team does not have the talent to make the playoffs. Something major is wrong in that locker room. Little hitting, no blocked shots; they are waiting for something to go wrong instead of making something happen, really hard to watch.

If I didn't already have tickets to tomorrow I wouldn't go. Disgusting.

Hey Brett, I guarantee you this team doesn't finish above .500

Two sell out home games this year and they get beat. They do nothing to get the crowd involved with perhaps a "fight" . Syro getting more ice time then Klotz?? Really Klotz is in better shape. You can blame the players all you want but the blame not falls on the leadership of this club mainly Franke for allowing this debacle to continue and not making changes. Bringing Syro out of retirement, calling up Signal A players doesn't count. Even the return of super Komet made no difference. They don't even play for each other, no chemistry.

A real hockey fan keeps it real. It's intersting that some of these posts get a thumbs down. All of them are on point. This team rarely plays with passion anymore. I didn't see any hard hitting tonight. Them team seemed out of sorts. Nobody really stood out tonight. It almost seems like the team is just out on the ice collecting a paycheck. Colin Chaulk actually looked pretty decent out on the ice. The rest of the team was bascially a no show. The coaching style is STALE! Sims has been good to the Komets, but he is past his prime as a coach. We need new blood to the team from the top down. I don't see the Komets making the play-offs with how the are playing now. From now until the end of this season is basically an extended camp for next year. We need to trade who we can now because we will definitely have too many veterans for next year. We need to bring up another couple of Pensicola or Dayton players. The ones that we brought up so far looked good. We should build on that for next year. I just don't understand what the Franke's are thinking right now. Are they gonna do anything to change things up? It's a bit too late wouldn't you think?

I agree with Tim. But then again, it may already be over. Time to think about next season, Sims's time is done. Time to give Chaulk the golden opportunity to be head coach, he'll guide & motivate the team if he's given the chance.

Playing with 5 defensemen so "the savior" could return too early and look below average? Great game plan. Whoever made that decision should be shown the door.

What's the Komets record since the public shunning of Norfolk players?

Guess this one can't be all Henley's fault.

Actually JM is correct. The mistakes the management team has made this year is unbelievable. Talking about how upset they are with the play of this team but not making changes shows their inability to manage a roster in a very competitive league like the ECHL. Look at the transaction page on the ECHL website deals and player movement is done every day in this league we act as if we can't find anyone.

Someone is an idiot because he has a different opinion than you?! It's a bad season...ok...come back to reality now. Believe it or not we fans aren't the experts. We have opinions but surely u all know that even in a losing season..the coach, players and management probably know better than ticked off fans. Frustration is good to get out but the constant solutions that would fix this "joke" of a team as someone labeled them...are just pointless. Hoping for the big win tomorrow.....I know they have it in them...hope they muster it up again. Go Komets. You still have fans...always will!

Right now there wouldn't be one player that I wouldn't trade in hopes of improving them team and that includes Marino or Giosa. If I could get a 2 for 1 type of deal for either one of them I would make it.

I know of one trade the K's did not make & that was Thorne for Clarkson from Toledo, then we release Thorne & they get him for nothing

Mightbite that is the type of debacle is was referring to they let Thorne go for nothing not even some type of future considerations. You can only blame players so long before the management has to start taking some of the blame

I remember some people, like the other blog saying that our team was built for the NHL lockout to end. And that once the lockout ended we would be in great shape. LOL guess not!!
I agree, we are well past the time for a shakeup. It's time for Sims to go, or a few big time players. Who cares at this point. Right now I still think we better hope and pray that Norfolk loads us up before the playoffs, so that we can sneak in, and go on a tear.

UHL=IHL2=CHL=ECHL....Correct???

According to every last player you asked preseason, even during the season...all the leagues were the same.

Really?

Our IHL2 Allstar team did what in our first year in the CHL?

Our CHL Allstar team has done what in the ECHL this year so far?

AA Hockey is AA Hockey....
Tired is for losers....
We can only sign American Born Players....

All a bunch of BS.

Good thing we got rid of all those lazy, goal scoring affiliated players!!!

THOSE guys were losers!!!

I don't care who they trade, I pay alot of money for season tickets. This team is a joke.

So some of these thumb down clicks are made ironically, right? Right??

You guys remember when Hayes went after Gens for the Auger hit? That's what a hockey team with good chemistry looks like.

We haven't seen that in a long time.

Wow 23 comments...haven't seen that happen this quick all year long. I am pretty sure the thumbs down are from people who don't agree with whatever the comment says. People look at things differently...that's ok. That's what the choice is there for.

Someone who gave my post a thumbs down explain to me how this team that was assembled is ECHL Caliber....How are all the retreads we have that you all love so much capable of competing with the affiliated players that all the other ECHL teams have that seem to be kicking our butts.

It's ok to have differing opinions, but at least explain what that opinion is and not just "thumbs down" a post without adding to the discussion.

Or, the Thumbs Down crowd are players and interns for the KOmets.

I consider it a badge of honor when i write something that everyone knows is true (especially when players have said the same thing) and get thumbs down. There are people that think you can't love the K's and make constructive criticism at the same time. If your 10 years old, I get it. But adults should be able to handle it. It's to bad we don't have a thumbs up/down at our seats that shows on the scoreboard durning the game....now that would be fun to watch. then again it would be frustrating. Even after a game like last night there are people that would give a thumbs up....heck, the coach did more or less. he sure didn't give it a thumbs down.
