So far, so good

So far, it's been an up-beat week around IPFW athletics.

The men's volleyball team went to Muncie on Wednesday and returned with a 3-1 victory over Ball State, the men's basketball team ended a three-game losing streak with a 65-60 win at UMKC on Thursday, and the women's basketball team continued to move up the Summit League standings with a 49-42 home win over UMKC.

Arnie Ball's volleyball team (5-3, 2-1 MIVA) travels to Ohio State (8-2, 2-0) for a match tonight.

The men's basketball team will stay on the road and will play at South Dakota at 8 p.m. on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Chris Paul's women's basketball team plays its final home game of the season Saturday when it meets South Dakota at 2 p.m. at the Gates Center in the annual Pink Out game, which raises breast cancer awareness.

The Mastodons (10-14, 6-6) have won four of their last five games and have tied Nebraska Omaha for fourth place in the Summit League standings. The 10 victories surpasses last year's total of nine.
