  • Softball season ends
    Jessica Hall gave up only three hits to IPFW and the UCLA softball team defeated the Mastodons 8-0 on Saturday to end IPFW's season at the NCAA Regional in Louisville, Ky.
  • Mastodons to regionals
    IPFW senior Theresa McHugh and freshman Rachel Dincoff have earned spots at the NCAA East Region Preliminary Championships, which begins May 23 in Greensboro, N.C.
  • Softball players honored
    IPFW junior Ashleigh Bousquet and sophomore Larissa Franklin were named to the Summit League Softball Academic All-League team, as voted on by the schools’ faculty athletics representatives and sports information directors.

Mastodons fall to Ohio State

Eddie Rivera had 17 kills but the IPFW men’s volleyball team lost 3-1 to Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio, on Friday night.

Andy Sellan and Ramon Burgos both added 11 kills for the Mastodons (5-4, 2-2 Midwestern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association), who lost 31-29, 23-25, 18-25, 23-25.

Omar Rivera had 49 assists and 12 digs.

Ohio State (9-2, 3-0) was paced by Michael Henchey’s 17 kills and five digs, while Peter Heinen had 57 assists and nine digs.
