Ready for 'crazy' atmosphere

Purdue freshman guard Rapheal Davis has been in Indiana's Assembly Hall a few times.

But the Fort Wayne native has never played on the Hoosiers' home court as an opposing player.

He will get that chance Saturday afternoon when Purdue (12-13, 5-7 Big Ten) take on No. 1 Indiana (22-3, 10-2) for the second time this season – the Boilermakers lost the first meeting 97-60 Jan. 30 in Mackey Arena – and the 200th time in the programs' history.

Davis said in a Thursday phone interview that he is expecting an electric atmosphere for the 2 p.m. game.

"We just got to go in there and stay focused," said Davis, who went 0-for-3 shooting in 31 minutes against IU in the teams' first game this season.

"We know it is going to get loud. It is going to get crazy. The atmosphere is going be something the freshmen have never seen before. We've just got to stay locked in. We have to come in and do what we are told to do and follow the scouting report and do what the coaches want us to do."
