  • Softball season ends
    Jessica Hall gave up only three hits to IPFW and the UCLA softball team defeated the Mastodons 8-0 on Saturday to end IPFW's season at the NCAA Regional in Louisville, Ky.
  • Mastodons to regionals
    IPFW senior Theresa McHugh and freshman Rachel Dincoff have earned spots at the NCAA East Region Preliminary Championships, which begins May 23 in Greensboro, N.C.
  • Softball players honored
    IPFW junior Ashleigh Bousquet and sophomore Larissa Franklin were named to the Summit League Softball Academic All-League team, as voted on by the schools’ faculty athletics representatives and sports information directors.

Volleyball team tops Ball State

IPFW's men's volleyball team lost the first set against Ball State on Wednesday, then came back to win the next three to claim a 3-1 victory over the Cardinals in Muncie.

After dropping the opener 25-21, the Mastodons (5-3, 2-1 MIVA) bounced back to win 25-22, 25-17 and 25-21. It was the second consecutive win for IPFW. For Ball State (8-2, 3-2), it was its second consecutive loss.

Andy Sellan led IPFW with 16 kills, but Eddie Rivera had 14 kills and 13 digs, and senior Anthony Randolph had 10 kills.

Ball State was led by Greg Hercey's 11 kills.

The Mastodons return to the court Friday against Ohio State in Columbus.
