At last, someone among college football's big boys has decided to man up.
Wisconsin athletic director Barry Alvarez says the Big Ten will soon be on a cupcake-free diet, which means the days of Ohio State or Michigan or Michigan State et al vs. Directional Hyphen Tech are about to end. No more FCS schools for them, thank you very much.
Bravo, it says here.
We can only hope the rest of the BCS conferences follow suit, because the spectacle of an Alabama or LSU scheduling some poor FCS punching bag has long been at the least distasteful, and at the most downright lily-livered.
So take note, you SEC/Big 12/Pac 10 schools. Be like the Big Ten, and don't be wusses. Play somebody.
