Challenging week for Boilers

Purdue coach Matt Painter's team is hitting the road this week with two big challenges in front of the Boilermakers (12-12, 5-6 Big Ten).

Purdue plays at Illinois (17-8, 4-7) on Wednesday. The Illini were giant slayers last week, scoring victories over No. 1 Indiana on Thursday and then-No. 18 Minnesota on Sunday.

The Boilermakers travel to Indiana on Saturday. Purdue lost 97-60 to the Hoosiers at home Jan. 30.

"We do have good league, and the one thing that we have shaping up is a handful of teams that are still in the hunt to win the league," Painter said during Monday's Big Ten teleconference. "At times at this point, you see two to three teams going in that direction, maybe just two. Now, we have more than that. It's a very good league."
