At last sanity returns (or perhaps just makes its introductions) to the nation's college basketball pollsters, who left No. 1 Indiana right where it belonged this week in the Associated Press poll, despite that funky inbounds play against Illinois.

For that, the Hoosiers can thank themselves for bouncing back from the Inbounds Play From Hell to blow up No. 10 Ohio State by 13 in Columbus, where banners commemorating the retired numbers of John Havlicek (5), Jerry Lucas (11), Gary Bradds (35) and Jim Jackson (22) hang menacingly from the rafters in Value City Arena.

Indiana hadn't won in Columbus in five years, but it put on a clinic in winning on the road Sunday, putting together perhaps its finest hour of a season crowded with them.

So, the Hoosiers stay No. 1, and Duke moves to No. 2. The Blue Devils might have supplanted Indiana, but their tepid one-point win against anemic Boston College in the anemic ACC impressed no one. Nor should it have.
