Veterans and city officials gathered Friday to rededicate the WWI Memorial moved to McCulloch Park, which has been on the fenced-in grounds of nearby General Electric for 89 years. The theme this year is the Nickel Plate Railroad in the Tri-State Area, and displays include hundreds of items covering all past and present activities of this railroad and its successors.
There will also be three operating model-railroad layouts. The event continues today from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $5, children younger than 12 get in free.
