  • Softball season ends
    Jessica Hall gave up only three hits to IPFW and the UCLA softball team defeated the Mastodons 8-0 on Saturday to end IPFW's season at the NCAA Regional in Louisville, Ky.
  • Mastodons to regionals
    IPFW senior Theresa McHugh and freshman Rachel Dincoff have earned spots at the NCAA East Region Preliminary Championships, which begins May 23 in Greensboro, N.C.
  • Softball players honored
    IPFW junior Ashleigh Bousquet and sophomore Larissa Franklin were named to the Summit League Softball Academic All-League team, as voted on by the schools’ faculty athletics representatives and sports information directors.

Women win in Fargo

While the IPFW men suffered a loss to North Dakota State on Saturday at the Gates Center, the Mastodons' women's team captured their first Summit League road win of the season at NDSU, in Fargo.

Amanda Hyde's 19 points led a balanced assault for IPFW (9-14, 5-6 Summit League). Erin Murphy had 17 points, Haley Seibert had 15, and Stefanie Mauk scored 9 points and had 10 rebounds.

The win was the third in four games for IPFW. The only loss during the stretch was at conference-leading South Dakota State, by 10 points.
