COLUMBUS, Ohio – Indiana took a 41-33 lead into halftime at Ohio State.
The No. 1 Hoosiers had their most success getting the ball inside with Cody Zeller and Christian Watford scoring 12 and 10 points. Zeller and Watford combined for 10 rebounds.
Victor Oladipo led IU's offense in the first half, scoring six of the Hoosiers' final eight points of the half, and finishing with 14 points.
Oladipo had a big offensive sequence with 2 minutes left in the half. First, the junior scored on a reverse layup after a lob pass, then he picked up a loose ball and drove down the middle for a big dunk to give IU a 37-29 lead with 1:25 to play.
No. 10 Ohio State's Deshaun Thomas, the former Bishop Luers star, was the only Buckeye in double figures at the break with 13 points.
IU is shooting 16 of 32 from the floor, and Ohio State is 12 for 29 from the floor. Neither team is having much success from three-point territory with the Hoosiers 3 for 11 and the Buckeyes 2 for 8.
