  • Softball season ends
    Jessica Hall gave up only three hits to IPFW and the UCLA softball team defeated the Mastodons 8-0 on Saturday to end IPFW's season at the NCAA Regional in Louisville, Ky.
  • Mastodons to regionals
    IPFW senior Theresa McHugh and freshman Rachel Dincoff have earned spots at the NCAA East Region Preliminary Championships, which begins May 23 in Greensboro, N.C.
  • Softball players honored
    IPFW junior Ashleigh Bousquet and sophomore Larissa Franklin were named to the Summit League Softball Academic All-League team, as voted on by the schools’ faculty athletics representatives and sports information directors.

IPFW trails NDSU at half

IPFW committed six turnovers in the last 5 1/2 minutes and trail North Dakota State 26-25 at halftime Saturday at the Gates Center.

The Mastodons came out hot from behind the three-point line, hitting five to take a 20-13 lead, but then came the turnover-fest.

Luis Jacobo leads the Mastodons with seven points, and Isaiah McCray has six.

Two players have combined for 23 of North Dakota State's 26. Guard Lawrence Alexander has 13, and center Marshall Bjorklund has 10.
