Ticknor watches a little of IPFW

As the practice times would have it within Memorial Coliseum on Wednesday, there was a brief crossing of paths for Mad Ants coach Duane Ticknor and IPFW coach Tony Jasick.

The Mastodons were scheduled to take the Coliseum floor at 12:30 for a practice in preparation for Thursday's game against South Dakota State, while the Mad Ants had a late-morning shoot-around prior to tonight's game against Sioux Falls.

Jasick and Ticknor shook hands and chatted for about three or four minutes at half court before Jasick began practice.

Ticknor, meanwhile, sat court-side and briefly watched.

The Ants coach said he is interested in watching South Dakota State's 6-foot-3 guard Nate Wolters, who is drawing attention from NBA scouts. Wolters was the preseason player of the year in the Summit League.
