The Komets play tonight in Loveland, Colo. A couple of interesting stats: The Komets are second in the league on the road with a 14-7-2 record. Colorado is 15-7-1 at home, where it has the ECHL's top power play with an efficiency of 28.3 percent.
- Check out this story on how the Komets have made moves on the way to championships. Maybe there are some ideas in there for this season.
- Even without Leo Thomas, who has been suspended for the season in the Southern Professional Hockey League for punching a fan, Fort Wayne-native Gary Graham has Pensacola tied for first place with a 22-9-4 record. Just noticed that Mark Bradtmueller, the Komets' former equipment manager, has been the backup goalie four times. And they've used 37 players in Pensacola this season. Same as the Komets.
- Former Komets forward Bobby Chaumont has 22 goals and 69 points in 41 games this season in Great Britain. Wow.
- From the CHL, there was an odd situation with one coach resigning (click here) and another coming in (click here).
