Delta’s formula for winning over New York travelers is simple: floor-to-ceiling windows, abundant power outlets and a burger joint with a cult-like following.The airline opened a sprawling $1.4 billion terminal at John F.Business leaders told Gov. Mike Pence they’d like to see northeast Indiana cultivate homegrown talent and not lose it to other states.
A cry also went out for an improved K-12 school system, so students would be more employer-ready.
Those were just a couple of the concerns during an economic development roundtable with the governor today at the Vera Bradley distribution center, 11222 Stonebridge Road.
Representatives from 14 Allen County companies took part in the discussion today, which began at 1:30 p.m. Fort Wayne Metals, Android Industries, General Motors Co. and BAE Systems were among the participants.
Vera Bradley is the site of a recent $22.6 million investment in improvements and equipment.
