Snowmobiler suffers head injury in crash

A Cromwell man was hospitalized after injuring his head in a snowmobile accident in Noble County, Indiana conservation officers said in a statement.

Shortly before 1 p.m. Saturday, Michael Holcomb was riding a snowmobile on private property north of Cromwell Road, near County Road 900 West.

Going about 30 mph, he crashed into a snowy embankment and was thrown off the vehicle. Holcomb, who was not wearing a helmet, suffered head injuries. The 46-year-old was taken to Kosciusko Community Hospital in Warsaw, conservation officers said.

An update on his condition was not available Sunday, hospital staff said.
