Brent Henley reassigned to Komets

Just talked to general manager David Franke and he told me defenseman Brent Henley has been reassigned to Fort Wayne by Lake Erie of the American Hockey League, the same team which has just called up all-star defenseman Daniel Maggio.

Henley will make the trip to Colorado, which begins with a game Wednesday.

Jamie Milam, who was just re-signed today after playing in England and Poland, may join the team in Colorado for the weekend games. He is a veteran, and that would give the Komets five, along with Henley, Tyler Butler, Brett Smith and Colin Chaulk. But Chaulk is still out of the lineup with a foot infection, so they will deal with how they handle having one too many veterans later on.

Meanwhile, goalie Kenny Reiter, who is up with Bridgeport of the AHL, was chosen as ECHL Goaltender of the Month. He was 6-1-0 with a 1.96 goals-against average and a .937 save percentage.
