Wawasee star makes big splash

– Breanna Robinson is headed back toward familiar waters.

The Wawasee sophomore won both her specialties – the 100 and 200 freestyle – at the Northridge girls swimming sectional to again qualify for state in both events. She finished second in the 200 and third in the 100 last year.

She’ll be busy again at state, because in addition to her two individual events, she’ll anchor Wawasee’s 200 freestyle relay, which finished third behind Concord and Northridge to qualify for state as well. Robinson will be joined by freshman teammate Betsy Rozow, who won the 100 backstroke to qualify for state.

Wawasee (334 points) finished second to host Northridge (350.5) in the team chase.
