If Luke Harangody were two inches taller, or maybe even two inches shorter, he wouldn't be in the D-League; he'd be in the NBA.
But the book on the Ants' 6-foot-8 forward is that he's considered a "tweener" - one of those guys who isn't quick enough to be a small forward or guard and not big enough to be a big forward.
According to the D-League website, Harangody, the former Notre Dame great, is ranked 18th among the D-League players. Los Angeles D-Fenders center Courtney Fortson is No. 1.
In 13 games with the Mad Ants, Harangody averages 21.4 points and 13.4 rebounds. He's shooting .445 from the field, and .808 from the free throw line.
When he torched Maine earlier in the week, he had 29 points and 13 rebounds. He has been in double figures in scoring 12 of the 13 games, and has scored 20 or more points seven times.
The Ants are in Canton, Ohio, tonight, and return home to face Canton on Monday.
